We’re looking for a talented and creative designer to join the Latitude team as we build the next version of our interactive web video application, Lumière.
As the principal UI designer, you will help to set the overall design direction for the Lumière application, creating engaging user experiences and tackling design challenges unique to interactive web video across a variety of platforms and devices. You’ll work with developers and product owners to create a user interface that not only meets needs but drives feature development forward through creative design.
Years of experience and education matter, but only to a point. At Latitude, we value curiosity, creative problem-solving, innovation, independence and self-ownership. Are you able to craft user interfaces with a holistic view of the business requirements, user needs and developer concerns? Can you set and fulfill aggressive deadlines? Do you function well in an environment where you routinely encounter design challenges you haven’t seen before? Those are the things we care most about.
Please provide a link to your portfolio when applying for this position.
We’re open to a variety of arrangements around weekly hours, engagement type, and working location for the right candidate. If you’re local to the Boston, Massachusetts area, we have two offices full of intelligent, fun people and space aplenty. If not, several of our team members work remotely on most days, and we’d be open to considering a remote or mixed arrangement.
About the Company
Latitude is an established leader in creative video-based research and streaming media. Our flagship application, Lumière, was first brought to life five years ago by a small group of developers, data scientists and entrepreneurs within Latitude. Today, it’s used by some of the largest media companies in the world to better understand their content, brands and audiences. Our teams are given the flexibility, freedom, and support to experiment with (and ship) some really interesting and unique stuff - if that sounds appealing, let’s talk.
